has been photographing, developing and scanning his own images using
35mm since 1987 and Digital media since 1996. He
uses Nikon P, Panasonic FZ, Sony NEX E-mount, Fujifilm W3-3D and Canon EOS/KISS/Powershot digital cameras. He maintains film Canon EOS and T-series 35mm SLR cameras, Nikon Coolscan
and a variety of older models from the 1930s, as a side-hobby.
In the 1990s, he tested and evaluated many high
quality pre-press densitometers (with often, but falsely claimed resolutions of 10,000
dpi+; Heidelberg, Fujifilm, Imacon, Scitex, Canon, Minolta), before
settling on the Nikon Coolscan 8000/9000 (tested true 3,750 dpi with calibrated test patterns) and still has an enthusiastic personal interest in following the superb improvement
(read: quality and CCD size) of digital cameras. He'd like to own a Nikon D850 and a few Sony Alpha R models...
